HOW THE DAY WILL FLOW

Here’s a preview of what the day will look like:
(Times may adjust slightly, but this is the flow:)

11:30 AM → Arrivals + welcome circle
12:00 PM → Yoga (all levels welcome)
1:15 PM → Moderate Hike with Guide
2:00 → Catered Lunch
3:00 PM → Afternoon Crafting Class
3:45 PM → Sound Bath
5:00 PM → Closing circle

FAQ

  • HOW FAR AWAY IS WARD POUND RIDGE?
    ~45 minutes from Hastings on Hudson

    IS THERE FOOD? WILL WE BE ABLE TO BUY FOOD?
    Yes. There will be lunch offered during the retreat. I will be taking orders before the day of.

    If you have special dietary needs I will need to know before the day of the retreat so we can accomodate you. 

    Water will be available but definitely BRING YOUR OWN.

    WHAT IF I’M NOT A HIKER? IS IT ADVANCED? CAN I STILL COME?
    The hike is going to be gentle/moderate. It's meant to get out in nature, have fun, move our bodies and connect with nature. If you're looking for a heavy, advanced, difficult hike, that's NOT what we're doing. It's meant to be open to all who want to attend. 

    I would reccomend hiking shoes for the day and not your everday sneakers or sandals because you might risk slipping. 


    IS THE YOGA BEGINNER FRIENDLY?
    Yes, the yoga will be "open" level appropriate for Beginners and Seasoned yogis alike. I do NOT reccomend the class if you've never done yoga or have a major injury. 

    CAN I ATTEND PART OF THE RETREAT AND NOT THE FULL DAY?
    No. That makes things a bit complicated for me for organization purposes. You must sign up for the full day, but of course you're welcome to skip something if you cannot or don't want to participate. 

    ***CANCELLATION POLICY:
    If you wish to cancel, you must notify me via email at jen@jennvagios.com.
     

    Cancelations made before September 1st (> 2 weeks notice) will receive an 80% refund.  
     

    If you are able to find someone to fill your spot, you are eligible for a full refund.  
     

    I am unable to provide any refunds after September 1st, unless we are able to find someone to fill your spot.
     

    If the retreat is canceled by me, or by the venue, you will have the option of a full refund, or, a credit towards a future retreat.
     

    There are no refunds or discounts given for arriving late or departing early or for guests who choose not to partake in meals, yoga class, sound bath or activities.

    If you need to cancel within 2 weeks of the retreat and can find a "fill in" you will be refunded in FULL. 



    IS THERE A BATHROOM?
    Yes, there is a bathroom in the main museum house and plenty of portable or “actual bathrooms and showers” on the property as many people camp here.

    WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

    I will email you before the retreat day so you know exactly what to have on hand. 

    * A yoga mat + 2 yoga blocks, a bolster and blanket are nice

    * Water, water bottle

    * Snacks, specialty food items if you are on a special diet

    * Bug spray 

    * Sunblock

    * Yoga props like blocks, a blanket, a bolster 

    * Layers of clothing 

    * Hiking shoes/sneakers for outdoor hike  

    * A hat if you like to cover up your face/protect it from sun 

    * hand sanitizer 


    IS THERE PARKING?
    Yes, plenty of parking. It will be FREE for our retreat and close to the 1st spot we’re meeting for yoga.
